This is the first vanity for the house made from an old dresser.

Originally we were using this watering trough as a tub / shower. There were no fixtures in the bathroom and we had been working to get it useable. That's about as far as it ever got... for a while.

The 1" x 10" shiplap was placed on these walls. This original bathroom (from when plumbing first entered the house) lacked much after water damaged the floors, beams and walls. We now have a room vent and an electric wall heater.

The walls are starting to take shape. The beam under this wall had rotted out over the decades. We had to jack up the wall, replace a long 8" X 8" beam then start the process of building a bathroom wall. Note the nice new saltillo tiled floor. This same floor tile is to be continued into and cover all of the den / dining room.

This is an old claw foot tub I bought in Sulphur Springs for about fifty dollars. It is 60" long and would just fit into the bathroom along the wall we had prepared for it.

This is the same tub after I had re-enamueled it. It was not an easy job and didn't turn out perfect but....This tub is 60" long and has now been painted a dark blue on the outside to go with the Texas flag shower curtain in this bathroom.
